Construction almost completed for Village at Arborwood

GRANGER, IND. – Construction is nearly complete for The Village at Arborwood, located at 820 East Cleveland Road in Granger. The Village at Arborwood will be a 120 unit senior living apartment development for those 62 years of age and older. The development is scheduled to open in June and is adjacent to the Arborwood Living Center, an Assisted Living Center.
The apartments are designed with seniors in mind and will provide individually controlled central heating and air conditioning, frost-free refrigerators, self-cleaning ovens, balconies or patios, and monitored emergency pull cords located throughout. The building's common spaces will include a spacious lounge, dining room, library/computer room, theater, exercise room, beauty salon, game room, wellness center, convenience store and coin-free laundry facilities. A guest suite will be available for short-term rental to accommodate resident's visitors.
Meals, laundry and housekeeping will be available as optional services to residents. Storage lockers and carports will be available to residents at an extra monthly charge. There will also be planned activities and excursions in the Arborwood Community bus, including weekly shopping and banking trips available at no additional charge.
The Village at Arborwood is being developed, constructed and managed by the Howard Reenders Family of Grand Haven. With a 60-year history, Reenders, Inc. is proud of its record of accomplishments and describes itself as a company with a social conscience and concern for the communities in which they develop, build and manage housing. In 2003, Reenders, Inc. received the Peterson Award as the For-Profit Developer of the Year by the Michigan Capital Fund of Lansing, Michigan. More recently, one of their developments, Grandhaven Manor, in Lansing received the 2005 Best Overall Star Senior Community awarded by the Property Management Association of Michigan as part of the Great Lakes Area Star Awards.
