Monday, June 16 – Operating under influence of drugs
Mary Elizabeth Quinn, 28, of 401 N. Fourth St. was arrested by police for allegedly operating her vehicle under the influence of drugs. During a traffic stop Quinn was reported "uncoordinated" with slurred speech and was unable to stay awake during testing of blood and urine. Quinn claimed in the report that she was under prescription medication, which left her tired. She was held for six hours due to intoxication with a $100 bond.
Tuesday, June 17 – Contempt of court
Dane Michael Lawrence Ford, 22, of 1819 Pucker St. was arrested after an anonymous tip led police to the Pucker Street. address, according to police reports. Ford was issued a warrant for failure to appear on an original retail fraud charge.
Tuesday, June 17 – Arrest on warrant
Roy Lee Fee IV, 23, of 59733 Decatur Road in Cassopolis, was arrested on a second circuit court warrant. He was booked and lodged with a $20,000 bond.
Sheriff's Department
Monday, June 16 – Shane Lee Zimmerman, 24, of 2670 Lakeshore Drive was arrested by the Berrien County Sheriff's Department after escaping from the Kalamazoo Probation Enhancement Program. Zimmerman was pulled over for a traffic stop due to a loud exhaust. Deputies, acting on a tip, found a collection of property reported stolen in the vehicle. That property included two DVD players, a Playstation 2 and a Panasonic flat screen television. Zimmerman was lodged at the Berrien County jail.
Thursday, June 19 – At approximately 5:19 p.m. deputies received a call for a possible assault at 965 Woods Edge Drive in Niles. A male subject claimed that another male subject was threatening him with a butter knife. Deputies arrived on scene at approximately 5:47 p.m. No arrests were made.
