Betty Geraldine Leasure, 71, of Red Arrow Highway in Coloma, died at Buchanan Meadows early Wednesday, June 11, 2008, with her family by her side.
In keeping with hers wishes, she has been cremated and a memorial service will take place on Sunday, June 22, at Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Niles at 2 p.m. in the afternoon.
She was born on July 12, 1936, to the late Ansel and Annie (Smart) Davidson. She was the eldest of seven children growing up in the Davidson household.
After graduating from high school, she attended college locally but was always thinking bigger. She worked for Whirlpool Corporation as their executive entertainment director. She also loved gardening, she was known to have a perfect garden along with a perfect home.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving family includes her son, Ralph (Becky) Davidson of St. Joseph; grandchildren, Hope (Paul) Spurlock of Lebanon, Mo., Faith Davidson of Indianapolis, Ind., Crystal Davidson of St. Joseph and Rebecca (Christopher) McNees of Chicago, Ill.; great-grandchildren, Phillip and Katelyn Spurlock; a brother, Ansel (Teresa) Davidson of Toledo, Ohio and sisters, Verna Mae Schwartz of Toledo, Ohio, Alma Jean (Bernie) Tate of Sylvania, Ohio, Barb (Raymond) Carmony of Toledo, Ohio, Debrah Davidson of Toledo, Ohio and Joyce Davidson of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., along with several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
