BUCHANAN – Buchanan residents can start cleaning out their basements and garages in preparation for the 2008 Buchanan Community-Wide Garage Sale.
The sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, June 20 and from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 21. Beginning at 7:30 a.m., the Chamber will pass out maps and information at a tent on the corner of Redbud Trail and East Front Street, in the McCoy Pond parking lot.
The city will provide a common space at the city parking lot on Redbud Trail for interested parties who need a booth space in the city perimeters. A 30'x 30' foot booth space will be available on a first-come first-serve basis. All parties interested must sign up at city hall and will require a $5 permit per booth.
To participate, residents need to purchase a garage sale permit at the Buchanan City Hall, 302 N. Redbud Trail. The cost of a two-day permit is $5. Everyone who purchases their permit by 5 p.m. on Thursday will automatically be entered on the garage sale map.
