Regional baseball, softball tourneys Saturday

NILES – Its regional time in baseball and softball, so Niles, Brandywine and Buchanan are off to Otsego and Bronson respectively on Saturday.
The top-ranked Lady Vikings will meet Coloma in the opening game on Saturday, scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
Niles (33-2) and the Comets (18-16) will be squaring off for the third time in 2008.
The Lady Vikings and Coloma played a non-league doubleheader back in April with Niles winning 6-0 and 3-0 in eight innings.
In the second game at Otsego High School, a pair of Wolverine Conference foes will square off with a trip to the regional final hanging in the balance.
Vicksburg and Otsego are scheduled to play at noon.
The winners of the two semifinals will advance to the championship game at 2 p.m.
Division 3 Softball
Three-time district champion Buchanan will play against host Bronson in the second game at noon.
Bronson is 30-6 on the season, while the Lady Bucks are 24-13.
In the opening game, Watervliet (18-6) will face Galesburg-Augusta (34-3). That game will be played at 10 a.m.
The championship game is scheduled for 2 p.m.
Division 3 Baseball
No. 1 ranked Brandywine (28-8) will take on Constantine (25-8) in the first game at Bronson, set to begin at 10 a.m.
The Bobcats and Falcons were scheduled to meet earlier this season, but the game was wiped out by bad weather.
In the second semifinal, Hartford (18-13) will face defending regional champion and No. 3 ranked Kalamazoo Christian (25-4) at noon.
The finals are scheduled for 2 p.m.
Division 4 Softball
Cassopolis will travel to Climax to compete in its second straight regional tournament.
The Lady Rangers will face Lake Michigan Catholic at noon.
