JONES – The M-40 Speedway was cancelled last Friday night due to the terrible weather that wreaked havoc on Southwest Michigan.
The weather gods have not been nice to the M-40 Speedway this year. The race track has been hampered by the cold, dark clouds, and the threat of rain all season long that has kept some of the fans away.
The M-40 Speedway will be back in action this weekend with a big double header on tap.
The racing portion of the program will be held on tonight with one of the most emotional nights of the year with the Ken Coats, Sr. Memorial Race.
Coats, who raced Pure Stocks at the M-40 Speedway passed away on his way to work last summer. It was a tragic loss to the M-40 Speedway racing family.
It is an honor for the M-40 Speedway to show tribute to one of the nicest racers who ever hit the M-40 Speedway.
The M-40 Pure Stocks, Outlaw Late Models, and the Pro Stocks will be tuning up for the Pro Stock Jones for the big 3-1 show.
Then on Sunday afternoon the M-40 Speedway will host the "Cruise the Track Jones" special that will feature the 1964 Beatles Tribute Band.
