Sherry M. Pitcher, 38, of North 14th Street, Niles, died at 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 2, at Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles, with the Rev. Tim Truckenmiller of Mon Valley Apostolic Church of Belle Vernon, Pa., officiating.
Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery, Niles.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, at the funeral home.
She was born on Sept. 12, 1969, in Kalamazoo, to Lawrence A Pitcher and Sharon A. McIntyre. She was baptized at Saint Mary Catholic Church in Niles.
She lived most of her life in Niles and graduated from Niles High School.
She earned her associates degree in journalism from Southwestern Michigan College.
She enjoyed attending her daughter's sporting events.
Surviving family includes a daughter, Brittney J. Buti of Niles; her father, Lawrence A. (Cathy) Pitcher of Niles; a brother, Patrick Thomas of Niles; three sisters, Renee Thomas of Kenosha, Wis., Wanda (Dave) Davis of Niles and Laurie Mokwa of Niles; a brother, Lawrence A. (Lea) Pitcher II of South Bend, Ind.; several aunts and uncles and cousins and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sharon A. (McIntyre) Powell, who died July 30, 1993.
Memorials may be made to the Niles District Library or Fernwood Botanic Gardens and Nature Center.
Arrangements were by Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles.
