Memorial parade and services set

NILES – There will be Memorial Day on Sunday, May 25, at 11 a.m. at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, sponsored by American Legion Post No. 26. The speaker will be Legion Post No. 26 Chaplain Clara Cogswell.
The post will also sponsor a second service on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial at Riverfront Park on Main Street. The speakers will be the Rev. Fred Smith and Dr. Mimi Faustino-Inocencio.
Faustino-Inocencio lived through the Battle of Manilla and practiced medicine in Buchanan between 1979-2001. Her speech is titled "American Hero."
They will also be the speakers at the service on Monday, May 26, at Silverbrook Cemetery, following the annual Memorial Day Parade, which begins at 10 a.m.

All bicycles and skateboards must stay in formation. No weaving in and out of units. The parade line-up will start at 9:15 a.m. The line-up area is in front of the old YMCA at State and Main streets. The parade starts at 10 a.m. SHARP! They will try to fit in late entries in near the end of the parade.
