Baker-Petreca
Arianne Nicole Baker of Dowagiac and Ypsilanti married Victor G. Petreca of Ypsilanti on Dec. 29, 2007, at Birchwood United Methodist Church in Battle Creek.
Rev. Melanie Baker-Streevy performed the wedding.
The bride is the daughter of David and Jackie Baker of Dowagiac.
She is a Dowagiac Union High School graduate and will graduate in December 2008 from Eastern Michigan University with a double major in visual arts and Spanish education. She is currently employed at EMU.
Her husband, who is employed at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, is the son of Paulo and Marly Petreca of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
He will graduate from EMU in December 2008 with a pre-medical major.
Maid of honor was Aubrey Byrne of Ypsilanti. Allyana Parris of Grand Rapids served as flower girl. Bridesmaids were Carolina Petreca of Sao Paulo and Danielle Parrott of Battle Creek.
Music for the ceremony was provided by the gospel choir of St. James Empowerment Cathedral, Battle Creek.
Jason Ness of Toledo, Ohio, was best man. Groomsmen were the bride's brother, Benjamin Baker of Chicago, and Steven Ness of Ypsilanti.
Their reception took place at Riverside Country Club in Battle Creek with music by DJ Rebecca Maxey of Dowagiac.
They are living in Ann Arbor after a honeymoon to Orlando, Fla.
