Coloma wins Lakeland title

NILES – Coloma locked up the Lakeland Conference golf championship on Thursday by winning the league tournament at Diamond Lake in Cassopolis.
The Comets had a team score of 322 to edge runner-up Edwardsburg, which shot 324.
Berrien Springs was third with a 328, while Brandywine took fourth with a 347.
Rounding out the Top five was River Valley with a 354.
Three players shared medalist honors with a round of 76.
Edwardsburg's Cameron Barber, River Valley's Jeremy Wilson and Berrien Springs' Matt Schull all posted the same score to lead their respective squads.
Patrick Brinnehl and Alex Johnson were the low scores for the conference champion Comets as they both shot 79.
Besides Barber's score, Edwardsburg also got a 79 from Chris Eaton. Curtis Holmes shot 84, with Will Brubaker and T.J. Treat coming in with scores of 85 and 90. Michelle Eaton shot 103.
The Bobcats were led by Dillon Bailey's 81.
Chris Rose finished with an 83, while Tyler Hill shot 89, Zach Rose 94, Kevin Muntz 105 and Ryan Hopper 116.
For the Bucks, Adam Houin shot 86, Jon Mondschein 89, Leighton Sulak 93, Jeff Jerue 105, Derek Blank 102 and Dan Carlson 109.
Cassopolis was led by Kim Vaughn' 85. The Rangers also got an 89 from Landon Wright, while Chris Coates shot 90, Aaron Goodrich 91, Caleb Oliver 105 and Sam Loux 109.
Coloma finished with 70 points to edge Edwardsburg, which had 64 points.
Berrien Springs took third (52), Brandywine fourth (40), Bridgman fifth (38), River Valley sixth (29), Cassopolis seventh (17) and Buchanan eighth (14).
