NILES – The Niles varsity soccer team was defeated by Portage Central 6-0 Wednesday night in a Big 16 Conference contest.
The Lady Vikings will now travel to Lakeshore on Monday for its next conference match.
Niles will host Paw Paw in a non-conference match on Saturday.
The junior varsity contest is slated for 11 a.m. with the varsity match scheduled to get under way at 12:45 p.m.
Division 3 Districts
The draw for the Division 3 district tournament to be hosted by South Haven have been released.
Dowagiac will take on Buchanan in the opening round on Tuesday, May 27.
The Chieftains will travel to Buchanan to face the Lady Bucks at 5 p.m.
In other first round matches, Three Rivers will travel to Comstock, while Edwadsburg will travel to South Haven to take on the host Lady Rams.
Paw Paw will open up at Parchment.
The semifinals on Thursday, May 29 and finals on Saturday, May 31 will be played at South Haven.
The first semifinal match will be played at 5 p.m. with the second to follow at 7.
The championship match will be played at 6 p.m.
