The 16th annual Letter Carriers' Food Drive was another smashing success. Good weather and all the good hearts made our donations exceed last year's numbers by 7,695 pounds. The grand total for Niles and associate offices (NALC Branch 775) was 63,579 pounds of food. Niles had 40,104 pounds of food. Buchanan, Berrien Springs, Dowagiac, New Buffalo, Three Oaks, Galien and Edwardsburg received 23,475 pounds of food.
Many thanks go to the donors for kids' treats and food for workers: NALC Branch 775, United Way, Martin's Supermarket, Hackers, Papa John's, Wings etc., Burger King, Saylors, Dairy Queen, Massimos, Brunos and Pizza Hut.
Thanks you to all of our local newspapers and radio stations, Tiny Tot Reruns sign and yard sign people for coverage of the food drive.
Great thanks to our volunteers and families and friends for all the hard work and support.
