Niles JV baseball team now 20-2 on the season

NILES – The Niles junior varsity baseball team ran its record to 20-2 Tuesday night with a pair of wins over Lakeshore in Stevensville.
The Vikings won the first game 4-3 and then blew out the Lancers 14-2 in the second contest.
David Garner won his seventh game of the season in the opener as gave up two hits in three innings of work. Ricky Briand came on in relief to earn his third save.
Aaron Brady and Rashad Harris both had two hits to lead Niles offensively.
In the second contest, Niles scored 14 runs on 10 hits.
Garner was 3-for-3 with a double. Aaron Davis went 2-for-4 and Briand 2-for-3.
Tommy Flynn went the distance, tossing a one-hitter for his fifth win of the year.
Niles will host Bridgman on Thursday at Thomas Stadium.
