Brandywine baseball team 22-1 after wins over Cass

CASSOPOLIS – Second ranked Brandywine held on to first place in the Lakeland Conference with a sweep of host Cassopolis on Tuesday.
The Bobcats (22-2, 11-1 Lakeland) won the first game 14-0 in five innings and then took the second game 10-0 in six innings.
Taylor Ort remained undefeated on the mound as he tossed a two-hitter to improve to 7-0 on the year. Ort struck out eight.
Brandywine banged out 12 hits in the opener, including a pair of doubles by Jesse McCombs and a double by Dan Reidenbach. McCombs and Reidenbach both finished with three hits and four RBIs.
Reidenbach picked up his sixth win of the season against just one loss in the nightcap as he tossed a one-hitter with 11 strikeouts.
The Bobcats finished with 11 hits against the Rangers, including a double by McCombs. McCombs and Kyle King both finished with three hits.
The Bobcats return to action today as they host Paw Paw in a non-conference contest.
Action is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.
