NILES – Jessica Bartocci of Niles and Taylor Ort of Brandywine have been selected as the Leader Publications' Athletes of the Week for the Niles Daily Star.
Bartocci helped the Niles girls' tennis team capture its own tournament on Saturday. Bartocci played No. 4 doubles for the Lady Vikings.
Ort took the mound against Dowagiac and picked up the win as the Bobcats defeated the Chieftains, 12-2.
Each week players will be selected as the Athlete of the Week.
The athletes are selected from nominations from their coaches.
