Dear Citizens of Niles Community Schools
I would like to apologize for an oversight I made during the recent School Board election. Over the weekend, I ran ads in the Daily Star asking you to support me and Tracy Ezell for school board. I also asked you to support the sinking fund millage renewal.
On Monday, I received a call from the city clerk, Ruth Harte, stating that my ads were missing the mandatory statement of who paid for the political ad.
Unfortunately, I received the incorrect information from the South Bend Tribune when I placed my ad with them. I was told I had to pay for the ad with my own funds. They didn't tell me I had to put in the statement of who paid for the ad. I now find out this was incorrect information. Both papers should have told me to put this information in my ad.
Again I apologize if my ads were misleading in any way.
Sincerely
Niles
