Bucks split with Centreville in softball

CENTREVILLE – The visiting Buchanan varsity softball team split a non-conference doubleheader with Centreville on Monday.
The Lady Bucks dropped the opener 6-2, but rebounded to take the second game 5-2.
Buchanan is now 11-6 on the season, while the Lady Bulldogs are 15-5.
Jayme O'Bryant had a double and a single for the Lady Bucks, who managed just five hits off of Centreville's Jessica Reed.
Kayla Dale took the loss despite giving up just five hits and striking out nine. Dale is now 1-3 on the year.
Alexis Lenox returned to the circle for Buchanan in the second game and tossed a four-hitter with three strikeouts.
Buchanan got five hits in beating Reed.
Emily Ross tripled and O'Bryant doubled for the Lady Bucks.
