BERRIEN SPRINGS – The Brandywine boys' track team split its Lakeland Conference meet with host Berrien Springs and Cassopolis on Tuesday.
The Bobcats defeated the Rangers 92-45, while they lost to the Shamrocks 85-52.
Picking up first place finishes against Cassopolis were Danny Eaglebarger in the shot put (39-feet-3.5), Doug Rockett in the long jump (18-6), Joel Perry in the high jump (5-6), Bryton Hutchings in the pole vault (height not available), Brett Gilpin in the 110-meter high hurdles (17.09), Elliott Richards in the 1,600- (5:20.69) and 3,200-meters (11:38.61), Caleb Frazier in the 400-meters (54.69), Lance Prescott in the 300-meter hurdles (45.68) and Josh Benjamin in the 200-meters (24.66).
Brandywine also won the 3,200, 800, 400 and 1,600-meter relays with times of 9:30.79, 1:37.12, 47.38 and 3:55.69 respectively (no names provided).
Winning events against Cassopolis for the Lady Bobcats were Dawn Smith in the shot put (29-2) and discus (69-4.75), Audrey Simmons in the long jump (13-7.5) Stephanie Beadle in the high jump (4-2) and Ashley Harrell in the 1,600-meters (6;16.96). Harrell won the 3,200-meters against Berrien Springs.
