NEW BUFFALO – The Buchanan varsity baseball team edged host New Buffalo in a non-conference contest on Monday.
The Bucks (4-5) scored single runs in the first, third, sixth and seventh innings and two runs in both the second and fourth innings to account for its runs in an 8-4 victory.
New Buffalo scored two runs in the first and fifth innings.
Brian Kuntz had two hits and two runs for the Bucks, while T.J. Pike added two hits an an RBI.
Buchanan also got hits from Cody Stanley, David Sokolowski, Tyler Knisley and Mitchell Plott.
Evan Cauffman worked two innings with three strikeouts to pick up the victory.
