NILES – The Franklin Church Restoration and Renovation Committee would like to thank the several people and businesses for helping them put up new shutters, repair the chimney and foundation, paint the church, purchase new doors for the front of the church and paint the fence that surrounds the church and cemetery.
"Joe Haskins and his friends Joel Bowers, Jason Morgan and Tom Fancher did most of the work," Connie Froehlich said.
"A special thanks to Joe for all he has done. We now need materials, physical labor and money for the interior."
Froehlich added that a lot still needs to be done, including the ceiling, painting and start working on the interior this spring and finish it this summer.
The church is located on the corner of Frost and Brush Lake Roads in Berrien Center.
Donations and volunteers are now being sought to work on the inside of the church. For more information, contact Connie at (269) 461-6328.
To make a monetary donation, send it to Connie Froehlich, 8421 Lake Rd., Berrien Center, MI, 49102.
