78-year-old arrested in Howard Twp.

CASSOPOLIS – The Cass County Drug Enforcement Team executed a search warrant in the 1300 block of Huntly Road in Howard Township at approximately 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, April 8.
The drug team conducted a three-week investigation into the selling and distribution of prescription pills from the Howard township home.
At the time of the search warrant the drug team located thousands of prescription pills – many packaged to sell.
The home owner, Victor Starrett, 78, was arrested and lodged at the Cass County Jail on charges of possession with intent to deliver prescription pills, felony firearm and maintaining a drug house. He was arraigned in Fourth District Court, Cassopolis, on Wednesday, April 9, when his bond was set at $40,000.
