CASSOPOLIS – Scott A. Mott, 54, of 59733 Decatur Road, Cassopolis, died Friday, April 4, 2008, at 9:27 p.m. in Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital, Dowagiac, after a sudden illness.
He was born July 20, 1953, to Charles and Sarah (Lillie) Mott in Paw Paw and was a lifetime area resident.
Scott is survived by: one daughter, Angie (Jason) Stone of Edwardsburg; three sons, Charles (Stephanie) Mott and Scott (Fawn) Mott, both of Cassopolis, and Any (Shannon) Buck of Ohio; his mother, Sarah Mott of Dowagiac; his paternal grandmother, Vivian Mott of Dowagiac; four sisters, Debbie (Larry) Tumbleson, Karen (Roger) Bower and Pam (Craig) Black, all of Dowagiac, and Linda (Larry) Smith of Bellevue, Mich.; and one brother, Doug Mott of Dowagiac.
He is also survived by: 11 grandchildren, Thomas Wright, Breanna Mott, Amethyst Stone, Jason Stone II, Brian Mott, Skylar Mott, Preston Mott, Caleb Mott, Serenity Mott, McKenzie Buck and Mercedes Buck; and five nieces and five nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his father, Charles Mott; maternal grandparents, Bert and Martha Lillie; paternal grandfather, Deward Mott; and aunt and uncle, Florabelle and Bart Leach.
Scott owned and operated Maple Grove Trailer Park in Cassopolis and was a graduate of Dowagiac Union HIgh School.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Connelly Funeral Home, Cassopolis, with cremation to follow the visitation.
There will be no funeral service. Interment of the cremains will be in South Wayne Cemetery, Wayne Township, at a later date. Memorials may be made to his family.
