Men's softball meeting March 16 at Minnow
DOWAGIAC- The Dowagiac Men's Softball League will hold its first meeting of the season on March 16.
The meeting will be held at the Wounded Minnow beginning at 1 p.m.
Anyone interested in registering a team should attend.

Fifth annual Spring Fling set for May 10
NILES – The fifth annual Spring Fling will be held on Saturday, May 10 at Riverfront Park.
The 5K walk and run is presented by IDDFAR, a non-profit privately operated foundation that was created in 2000.
All proceeds from the event will benefit community, scholar-ship/educational and human service programs.
Registration for the event will be held at 10 a.m. with the race to begin at 11 a.m.
Entry fee is $15 before April 30 and $20 the day of the race.
Entry blanks and checks, made out to IDDFAR, Inc., should be sent to IDDFAR, Inc. P.O. Box 874 Niles, MI 49120.

Indiana Nightmare to hold tryouts this weekend
ELKHART, Ind. – The Indiana Nightmare are set to play in Elkhart for the 2008 season.
The Nightmare will have a tryout on March 15-16 for all perspective players.
The Indiana Nightmare are a member of The Indoor Football Association.
Larry Macon, the league founder, has finalized an agreement to play at Elkhart's Sports Center.
"We were supposed to play a couple of exhibition games in Elkhart last year," Macon stated, "but we had to make a couple of changes with teams and we wanted to get things right before starting any games."
The league for 2008 will consist of six teams: Washington (PA) Steam, Indiana (PA) Wolverines, Lansing Steelkatz, Lynwood (Ill.) Knights, Albert Lea (MN) Chill and the Nightmare.
The season will kickoff April 19 with the Lansing Steelkatz coming to Elkhart to take on the Nightmare.
The season will consist of eight games with each team having four home games and four away games. For 2008 tickets for all TIFA games will only be $5.00 per ticket.

Sign up today at Wings Stadium or by calling (269) 345-5101. Fighters will be matched in two divisions Novice (Less than five fights) and Open (over five fights.) All fighters are matched by age, height, weight, and experience in their respective divisions.
State Certified Fight Doctor and United Cage Fighters (UCF) officials will be at Ring Side, pre fight physicals &post fight exams will be given to all fighters to ensure their safety.

Advanced tickets start at $22 and VIP tables of 10 starts at $40 per seat. Tickets will be $5 more the day of event.
