Manager becomes owner

NILES – Nicole Koenigshof is no stranger to physical therapy.
The new owner of LB. Physical Therapy specializes in women's health, incontinence and advance pediatrics and has worked in mostly outpatient orthopedic settings since graduating with her Masters degree in 2002.
For the last year, Koenigshof has managed the Niles location of LB. She has worked there since 2004 and recently purchased the business, located in the LaSalle Bank building at 333 N. Second St., Suite 308, from previous owners Dr. Greet and Dr. Pierre Luyck.
Koenigshof, who lives in the Niles community with her husband and 1-year-old son, also volunteers as the Coordinator for the Niles Westside Mommy's Group, a group which caters to mothers of pre-school children in the Michiana area.
LB. Physical Therapy will continue to provide the highest quality and most advanced techniques in physical therapy, manual therapy, electro-therapy and rehabilitation to treat such symptoms as back pain, orthopedic Injury or post-surgical rehabilitation, lymphedema, incontinence, pelvic pain, pediatrics, and neuropathy.
Koenigshof has also added some new services, which include medical massage, yogalates fitness classes, mom and baby exercise classes, free back school and free pre and post-natal exercise programs. Free childcare is also provided during the fitness classes and affordable crossbow assessments at our are still available.
This Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m., LB. will be holding a free back school, which teaches the proper way to lift, how to safely do household chores and exercise without increasing back pain.
The class is free and open to the public, but space is limited.
