ST. JOSEPH – Tuesday evening a juvenile male walking along Dwight Boyer Road in Watervliet Township was stabbed by three other juveniles in a car.
Det. Lt. Roger Lange of the Berrien County Sheriff's Office reported Wednesday that the stabbing occurred in a fight which ensued during this encounter.
The injured juvenile was taken to Community Hospital in Watervliet, treated and transported to Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo because of the extent of his injuries.
The injured juvenile was listed in stable condition.
Juveniles involved in this incident were Watervliet students.
"For that reason, there was a police presence at the school this morning to insure no further problems," Lange reported the afternoon of March 5.
This incident remains under investigation.
