Thanks to a $7,000 donation from the Lee Memorial Foundation, Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital's cardio-pulmonary department recently received a facelift, which included refurbishing three rooms and a hallway.
To enhance the atmosphere for patients and staff alike, new ceilings, carpeting, painting and lighting were incorporated into the renovation.
Through its cardio-pulmonary department, Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital offers individuals with lung and heart conditions access to specialized testing and care – without the need for out-of-town travel.
State-of-the-art testing includes cardiac function screening, spirograms (breathing testing), electrocardiograms (EKGs), Holter monitoring and stress testing.
Onsite cardiac and pulmonary experts are also available to help patients more effectively manage their disease.
The Lee Memorial Foundation is the official fundraising arm of Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital.
For nearly 90 years, Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital has delivered comprehensive services throughout Dowagiac and Cass County, from cardiac and primary care to rehabilitation and diagnostic imaging.
A member of Borgess Health, the largest health care provider in southwest Michigan, the hospital also has the resources to offer specialized, nationally-recognized medicine.
