To the editor:
Let's face it and call it what it is. All four front leaders carry baggage. McCain, age, Romeny, the prep no hair out of place issue along with avoided military service. Clinton, the Clinton baggage of the past and who would be president if Hillary was actually elected. As for Obama, he just may be a candidate before his time. He is engaging, he has appeal, he is understanding, but one must question his foreign relations understanding and the understanding of the overall larger international picture.
With that said, Obama's pre-pick could very easily dash those concerns and land him a primary historic victory. It would require a well known, respected individual…. Say a Condi Rice….
On the other side of the coin, I don't think America as a whole is metro sexual enough at this stage to place Romeny at the top of a republican ticket. While age is a concern for many with McCain, if he could pull off a McCain/Colin Powell ticket, I think it would be a slam dunk for McCain.
