Search on Sycamore nets drugs

NILES – The Niles Police Department has conducted a three-week long investigation into suspected illegal narcotic sales from a residence located in the 1000 block of Sycamore Street in the City of Niles.
This investigation culminated with the issuance of a search warrant for 1009 Sycamore St., which was served by Niles Police Department officers on Monday, Jan. 28.
As a result of this investigation and search warrant, 35 bags of marijuana, with a street value of $420, were seized. $173 in cash was also seized for civil forfeiture.
Aaron Keith Haynes was arrested at this residence and has been charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and maintaining a drug house.
Haynes was arraigned at the Niles Trial Court Tuesday and his bond was set at $7,500 and he is currently in custody at the Berrien County Sheriff's Department.
