Cooper locks up second straight championship

NILES – Brandywine Community Schools Board of Education member Dennis Cooper has locked up the top spot in the Daily Star Football Forecsters with five games remaining.
Cooper, the defending champion, has a three-game lead with five bowl games remaining.
At 113-54, Cooper cannot be caught by Brandywine Superintendent John Jarpe, who is second at 110-57.
Jarpe and Cooper have selected just one game differently from the five remaining games. The pair differs only on the Ohio State-LSU match-up for the national title game.
Two games behind Jarpe is Andre Gresham of the Niles-Buchanan YMCA, with a record of 108-59.
Tied for fourth are Molly Brawley, Niles High School assistant principal and Dan Brawley, Niles' varsity football coach, at 107-60. In sixth place is Congressman Fred Upton, R-St. Joseph, with a record of 106-61.
Erika Pickles, staff writer at the Niles Daily Star, is seventh at 100-67, while in eighth place is Joe Austin, Buchanan's varsity football coach and Bob Bell, Leader Publications press room foreman, both standing at 98-69.
Rounding out the field are Allison Hayes of Fox 28 (93-69), Rob Clingaman of WNIL (89-78) and Terry Borr, Brandywine's football coach (88-79).
