DETROIT – Central Michigan University completed its final preparations for the 2007 Motor City Bowl with a walk-through at Ford Field in Detroit on Tuesday.
For many of CMU's players and coaches, however, Christmas Day began several hours prior to Tuesday's late-morning walk-through.
Members of the travel parties from CMU and Purdue converged on the Masonic Temple in downtown Detroit to assist the Salvation Army in serving breakfast to some of Detroit's less fortunate.
The CMU contingent spent nearly 90 minutes volunteering at the event before departing for the Chippewas' final practice prior to kickoff.
CMU's players and coaches were free to spend Tuesday afternoon with their families before reporting back to the team hotel for a series of meetings beginning at 7 p.m.
Kickoff of the 2007 Motor City Bowl has officially been set for 7:31 p.m.
