Enough already with political correctness

We are taking this political correctness thing just a bit too far.
We are getting into that magical time of year when the holidays bring out the best, and sometimes the worst in us.
Families will soon be gathering together to celebrate Thanksgiving, Christmas and the New Year.
There has been a push the past couple of years to do away with the term Merry Christmas because not everyone celebrates this particular holiday.
Now comes word that Santa Claus has fallen into the clutches of the political correctness police.
A story has hit the wire that Santas have been asked not to say "ho, ho, ho" anymore because it frightens children and can be offensive to women.
Apparently, they are being asked to say "ha, ha, ha."
Give us a break!
What kid in his right might equate Santa's greeting with the slang term "ho," which is used to describe prostitutes.
They aren't going to buy a store Santa saying "ha, ha, ha" instead of "ho, ho, ho," because that is what they are accustom to hearing from St. Nick.
In fact, we believe Santa saying "ha, ha, ha" could be more harmful than his traditional greeting.
We wonder how many young children will think Santa Claus is laughing at them.
It's time to stand up to the political correctness police and take back our favorite holiday greetings.
Tell people Merry Christmas this year if you want, and for goodness sake, don't take your child to see a Santa Claus that says "ha, ha, ha."
