NILES – The Ring Lardner eighth grade Blue boys' basketball team defeated Schmucker (Penn) Middle School 45-20 Tuesday night.
The Vikings hit five 3-point field goals in the first half to pull away from Schmucker, including two each from Matthew McLaughlin and Brandon Partee.
Niles was lead defensively by Taylor Campbell, Zack Fillwock, and Christian Rackely.
Leading scorers for Niles were Myles Busby and Austin Parks with 12 points a piece.
The Blue team is back in action Monday night at Benton Harbor.
