NILES – New board members Betty Arndt (Third Ward) and Bruce Williams (Fourth Ward), as well as incumbents Georgia Boggs (First Ward), Dan Vanden Heede (Second Ward) and Mayor Mike McCauslin were sworn in at the beginning of Monday night's Niles City Council meeting.
This was the first meeting for Arndt and Williams as both were elected on Nov. 6.
Williams suggested that the Monday meetings be held at 6 p.m., rather than 7:30 p.m. The board agreed and the meetings will now be held at 6.
In other news, the board approved the annual arrival of Santa Claus at the Riverfront Amphitheater this Saturday at 11 a.m.
