NILES – Grab your girlfriends, some extra money and get ready for a night of shopping, fun and great giveaways.
On Friday, Nov. 16, the Sister Circle of Faith United Methodist Church in Buchanan will be hosting the first, and hopefully annual, Ladies Night Out at the Buchanan American Legion.
A wide variety of different vendors, including Avon, The Pampered Chef, lia sophia, Mary Kay, home interiors and more, will be on hand, introducing and selling some of their best products.
Demonstrations will be given every half hour, which will include jewelry making, massage therapy, scrapbooking and hair and nails.
Proceeds from the event will go to Polly's Place in Niles and the Emergency Shelter in Benton Harbor.
"The women's group is a group of women from the church who focus on holding fundraisers and making money for women and children in the community," Shari Phillips of Faith United Methodist Church said.
Cover charge is just $2 and will include all the shopping you can handle, hors d'oeuvres and door prizes. This is a great chance to get started on early Christmas shopping as well.
"We are very excited about this. We have vendors coming to us wanting to be involved so the word is already out. We are hoping this becomes an annual event. It's going to be a great evening," Phillips said.
Hours for the event are from 6 to 10 p.m., which Phillips said should give everyone plenty of time to attend.
There is no need to make reservations or call ahead of time. Just show up, ready to shop and support two important organizations in Berrien County.
