THREE RIVERS – The Dowagiac varsity volleyball team was defeated by Three Rivers in a Wolverine Conference match on Monday night, 3-1.
"We have struggled since the Plainwell loss," Dowagiac coach Ryan Frontczak said.
Against the Wildcats, Dowagiac played without Kathy Lindt. Dowagiac middle hitter Sarah Shelton, returned to the line up in the third game. She has been out with an ankle injury.
"We've got to turn things around in a hurry," Frontczak added. "I feel that once we get healthy, we can do big things. We've got two days of practice and it's going to be intense. We need girls to step up and play offense and stop playing so much defense. You just can"t win big games without offense."
