DOWAGIAC – The Edwardsburg girls' cross country team edged visiting Buchanan at the Dowagiac Middle School Monday afternoon in a Lakeland Conference meet.
Edwardsburg grabbed six of the top 10 spots to earn a 27-29 victory over the Lady Bucks.
Buchanan's Victoria Eger and Elizabeth Hein finished first and second with times of 20:42 and 21:11 respectively.
Edwardsburg's Kathy Stewart, Kaitlyn Buzalski and Ronnie Brubacher finished third, fourth and fifth. Stewart ran 21;24, Buzalski 21:30 and Brubacher 22:36.
Buchanan won the boy's race 22-23.
Jon Barr and Rick Reith grabbed the top two spots by posting times of 18:40 and 19:02.
Edwardsburg's Ryan Bringedahl finished third with a time of 19:09.
