MARCELLUS – The Brandywine varsity soccer team tuned up for tonight's Division 3 district opener with a 3-2 win over Marcellus in non-conference play on Saturday.
Aaron Marquardt scored a pair of goals for the Bobcats, who also got a goal from Will Coar of an assist from Caleb Young.
"We continue to improve our creativity in the offensive third," Brandywine coach Jim McNamara said. "We made short, quick passes and got easy goals. There is still more we can do, but we are still improving."
Marcellus scored on a pair of penalty kicks.
The Bobcats will host Buchanan tonight at 7 in the opening round of the district tournament.
