Visiting Paw Paw hands Chieftains 5-3 setback

Visiting Paw Paw pulled out a 5-3 Wolverine Conference victory over the Chieftains Wednesday afternoon.
Dowagiac picked up a pair of singles victories and one doubles win against the Redskins.
Collin Boyll defeated Kyle Smith in a three-set thriller, 6-2, 4-6 and 6-3 at No. 1 singles.
At No. 4 singles, Bo Parsons defeated Nathan Williams in another good match, 7-6 and 6-1.
The Chieftains' final victory came at No. 2 doubles where Brandon Knapp and Joey Gajewski defeated Tyler Brown and Kyle Rovsch 6-2 and 6-0.
Dowagiac will be back in action on Tuesday when it travels to Bridgman for a non-conference match.
Play is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
