Bridgman's Co-Op Swim Team (Bridgman, Lakeshore, Niles, and Buchanan) placed well recently at the Grand Rapids Community College-hosted Raider Sprints, taking fourth place out of the 12 western Michigan swim teams there.
The ladies worked well together in the mostly-relay meet, with the 200 backstroke relay taking the top finish of the day with a race to second place. Lindsey McCarty, Alex High, Megan Hauck, and Lauren Hoehn had a wonderful race.
Other top finishes in the relays for the day included the 200 free relay team's fourth place swim, with Lindsey McCarty, Nina Miller, Kelsey Dykstra, and Lauren Hoehn in on the action.
Individually, Faith Simpson (Lakeshore) had an outstanding meet.
She outswam lots of the competition in her events, 50 fly and 100 IM, and swam fast times on two relays.
Lauren Hoehn (Bridgman) swam into the top 12 as well, placing in the 50 freestyle. Fast times were also turned in by co-captain Megan Curry (Buchanan) in the 50 breaststroke, and Bridgman freshman Alex High in the 50 backstroke. Lindsey McCarty (Buchanan) had a fantastic meet as well.
