Emily Primley and Efrain Soto have been named the Leader Publications Athletes of the Week for the Dowagiac Daily News.
Primley, a junior, had 21 kills in the Chieftains Wolverine Conference victory over Allegan.
Soto, a sophomore, had a pair of goals for the varsity soccer team last week, while he also helped the junior varsity team win the Buchanan Classic.
Each week one boy and one girl will be selected as the Athlete of the Week.
The athletes are selected from nominations from their coaches.
