Niles' Samantha Brawley and Jordan Parks have been named the Leader Publications Athletes of the Week for the Niles Daily Star.
Brawley helped Niles to a second place finish at the Berrien Springs Invitational on Sept. 12.
Brawley finished second overall in the girls' race.
Parks was a 6-2 and 7-5 winner over Buchanan's Jamie Whitfield in a varsity tennis match held Sept. 11.
Parks was one of just two flight winners for the Vikings in a 6-2 loss to rival Buchanan.
Each week one boy and one girl will be selected as the Athlete of the Week.
The athletes are selected from nominations from their coaches.
