Brandywine 28th at New Prairie

NILES – The Brandywine girls' cross country team finished 28th at the New Prairie (Ind.) Invitational on Saturday, while Tyler Weeden took 29th overall in the boys' race for the Bobcats.
Hebron (Ind.) won the overall girl's title with a score of 84. Fairfield (Ind.) was second anf Flora Caroll (Ind.) was third.
Brandywine finished with a team total of 811.
Ashley Harrell was the first Lady Bobcat across the line as she finished 99th with a time of 23:47.3.
Kylee Salisbury was 163rd with a time of 26:57.1, while Nicole Newman finished 168th with a time of 27:16.4.
Jordenne Ferenczi finished 181st with a time of 28:07.3, while Bethany Fortner was 200th with a clocking of 41:53.
Buchanan finished 10th in the team standings with 300 points, however, no individual results were available at press time.
Lakeland Conference squads Berrien Springs finished 19th (477), Bridgman 26th (611) and River Valley 27th (621).
Jordan Chester of Boone Grove (Ind.) was the overall winner with a time of 19:19.9.
Brandywine only had four boys running in the race and did not qualify for the team standings.
Oak Hill (Ind.) was the overall winner with a score fo 75. Kouts (Ind.) was second with 175 points and Fairfield third with 198.Bridgman finished 11th, Berrien Springs 22nd and Buchanan 28th.
Weeden took 29th overall with a time of 18:00.8. Elliott Richards was 104th with a time of 19:24.5, while Aaron Sieting and Tom Buzzard were 167th and 220th with times of 20:40.9 and 23:55.2 respectively.
Cameron Balser of Oak Hill was the top finisher with a time of 16:07.1.
