Some people don’t seem to get it

On Sunday night, an Oregon rugby player decided that instead of spending quality time with his daughter, he would visit the World Famous Mustang Ranch. However, this was no rodeo or an actual horse ranch, instead it was a brothel. And hey, what better babysitter than your own car?
Lucien Hoffman was arrested on charges he left his 2-year-old daughter in a vehicle in the parking lot of the Nevada brothel on a 95-degree day.
He is being held in the Storey County Detention Center on a $40,000 bail on charges of child neglect.
Police arrested Hoffman after a security guard found the child crying inside the car, according to deputies. Had the child been noticed by the brothel security guard, Hoffman's vehicle wouldn't have been allowed in. When security guards did hear her crying and couldn't locate her parents, they contacted the sheriff's office and took the child inside the brothel.
Hoffman had been attending a barbecue at the brothel, and, according to the Reno Rugby Club's Web site, the brothel party was an after-event for its first "Biggest Little Rugby Tournament in the World," a two-day competition drawing 14 rugby teams from around the West Coast.
Hoffman attended the tournament with his girlfriend, a woman who is not the mother of the 2-year-old toddler.
What was going through this father's mind, well, that's pretty obvious. But to feel he needed to leave his child in the car is downright irresponsible. Why was the child in Nevada in the first place if the parents are from Oregon?
After Hoffman's arrest, the toddler was treated for dehydration and released to the Nevada Division of Child and Family Services, where she was later returned to her biological mother.
Hopefully she doesn't decide to head to a local Chip N' Dale event.
