Lady Rangers fall to White Pigeon

The Cassopolis varsity volleyball team lost in five games to visiting White Pigeon Tuesday night in a non-conference match.
The Lady Chiefs defeated the Lady Rangers 25-13, 21-25, 21-25, 25-23 and 15-13.
No individual results were available at press time.
On Saturday, Cassopolis hosted its season-opening invitational tournament.
The Lady Vikings of Bronson went undefeated on the day to capture the championship.
Bronson went 8-0 in pool play and then defeated River Valley in the semifinals, 25-19 and 25-15.
Berrien Springs also went 8-0 in pool play, but was knocked off in the semifinals by Lakeland Conference rival Buchanan, 23-25, 25-13 and 15-9.
In the finals, Bronson defeated the Lady Bucks 25-16 and 25-15 to take the championship.
Cassopolis was 4-4 in pool play. Cassopolis defeated Howardsville 25-18 and 25-16.
The Lady Rangers split with Eau Claire, winning 25-9 and losing 23-25.
Bronson defeated Cassopolis 25-12 and 25-13, while the Lady Rangers split with Buchanan, winning 25-24 and losing 10-25.
