NILES – Don Haltom, who has served as Leader Publications assistant circulation manager for the last two years, has been promoted to circulation manager.
In addition, four new employees have joined an expanded retail advertising sales staff at Leader Publications.
Haltom, who begins his new role immediately, is replacing Andrew Heasley, who has accepted the position of single copy sales manager at The Oakland (Mich.) Press.
Heasley has served as Leader's circulation manager for more than two years.
"Andrew did a fantastic job of expanding home delivery of The Leader into Northwest Indiana's Clay Township and Granger areas, as well as ensuring good delivery of all of our products in our southwest Michigan markets," said Jan Griffey, Leader Publications president and publisher. "He will be sorely missed. However, his new opportunity is one that returns Andrew and his family to the place they consider home – the metro Detroit area. I'm very proud of what Andrew accomplished during his time at Leader and thank him for his good work here."
Since the beginning of his work at Leader, Haltom has handled all of the day-to-day aspects of home delivery of all Leader products.
"Don and Andrew have worked closely and I'm certain Don will continue to make sure our customers receive good service," Griffey said.
Haltom is a native of Niles, but grew up in Toledo, Ohio. He returned to this area as an adult after being honorably discharged from his military career. He is single and makes his home in Niles. In his spare time, he enjoys reading and playing badminton.
Carly Eldridge has joined Leader Publications as a retail sales representative.
Eldridge is a 2002 graduate of Brandywine High School and a 2006 graduate of Michigan State University. She is the daughter of Kim and Terry Eldridge of Niles.
Eldridge, who says she's not single but isn't married, either, is the parent of a toddler-sized cat named Robert. In her spare time, she enjoys crafts, thrift-store shopping, taking weekend trips and spending time with a close circle of friends.
She is responsible for advertising sales to existing customers and developing new customers in the Berrien Springs, St. Joseph, Benton Harbor and Harbor Country areas.
Dustin Cornelius has joined Leader Publications as a retail sales representative.
Cornelius is a graduate of Niles High School and a recent graduate of Western Michigan University. He is the son of Isaiah and Diana Cornelius of Niles.
Cornelius and wife, Lauren, are newlyweds. In addition to his work at Leader, Cornelius is a part-time disc jockey for weddings, parties and other functions.
When not working, he enjoys playing music for his church worship team and anything having to do with Notre Dame football or the Chicago Cubs.
Cornelius is responsible for servicing existing advertising customers and developing new ones in a geographic territory that includes west Niles and Buchanan.
Tammy Campbell, who also joined the Leader staff recently as a retail sales representative, is a native of Dowagiac and is presently a part-time college student.
She and her husband, Roy Glen Campbell III, are the parents of three children, Lily Jackson, 19, Roy Glen Campbell IV, 17, and Bona Campbell, 13.
When not working, Campbell enjoys fishing with her family and playing pool for the American Pool Association.
Campbell will be responsible for a geographic territory that includes northwest Dowagiac and the Sister Lakes area.
Brandon Jankoviak has also joined Leader's staff as a retail sales representative. He graduated in August from Central Michigan University.
Jankoviak is a 2002 graduate of Niles High School and is the son of Jon and Toni Jankoviak of Niles.
His hobbies away from work include watching football all weekend long during the fall, visiting his girlfriend, watching movies and listening to music.
Jankoviak will be responsible for developing clients and servicing assisting advertisers in southeast Dowagiac and Cassopolis areas.
