NILES – The Pregnancy Care Center of Niles has a new home.
After 15 years of service at their old office in the Mini Mall, the center has moved to 311 E. Main St., Niles in order to gain visibility in the community and be more accessible to clients.
On Saturday, employees and volunteers were busy setting up the new office, which Executive Director Maggie McAfoos thinks will be much easier to find and offer a more professional location and atmosphere.
"This will offer more privacy for clients and we hope to reach out to more people," McAfoos said.
The Pregnancy Care Center is an organization that offers a wide variety of services, including free pregnancy testing, confidential counseling, material assistance to the public, parenting classes, information about pregnancy, abortion and alternatives and post abortion counseling and support.
"We would like to help more clients make the right decisions. This move will give us a better chance to do that and will also give people a better understanding of where we are located," McAfoos added.
Hours for the Center are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The office is also open Monday and Thursday from 6:30 to 9 p.m.
The Center was founded in 1985 and is a locally organized and funded outreach. The Pregnancy Care Center is a non-profit organization.
