NEW PARIS, Ind. – John Long of Niles won $10,000 for winning the 100-lap feature race at New Paris Speedway on Thursday night.
Long out dueled 21 other drivers to pick up the big check. He was in second place through the first 72 laps and then took the lead only to have a caution flag move him back into second. Long quickly moved into first place and remained there over the final laps.
Long thanked his car owner Bob Elick and his family and friends, along with sponsors Bruno's Pizza, Pay'n'Pakit Discount Foods, Nadwezibe Tattoo and piercing, Shaul's Truck Accessories, Goshen Collision Center, M40 Speedway and K R J Motorsports.
