Vella Park Intensity win title

NILES – This past weekend at Firemen's Park, the Niles-Brandywine Girls Softball Association held its 16U invitational tournament.
New Niles softball coach Gary Collins put together the Vella Park Intensity to play.
The Intensity went 4-0 to win the tournament.
Jenna Ignowski was the winning pitcher in all three games as she recorded 26 strikeouts and three walks in 12 innings of work. Ignowski did not allow an earned run.
Erica Gordon earned the victory in the other game as she struck out eight and only allowed one hit.
Nellie Coquillard, Maggie Ernsberger and Ignowski all finished with five hits in the tournament, while Cricket Fisher and Gordon both finished with four hits.
Ernsberger had three doubles, a home run and 10 RBIs. Ignowski finished with a double, triple and home run. She also drove in six runs.
Coquillard tripled and drove in three runs, while Fisher and Demi Schrader both tripled and drove in three runs.
Schrader finished the tournament with three hits.
Gordon finished with a double and two RBIs. Steph Stoops had three hits and drove in three runs for the Intensity.
Taylor Watson also had three hits and she drove in a pair of runs. Frannie Semernic added two hits and two RBIs.
