All-Stars bring home awards

BUCHANAN – Buchanan's 12-year-old Al1-Star team traveled to Muncie, Ind. on July 25 to compete in the Baseball Player's Association World Series.
The team played five games in the series against teams from several other states.
The Buck's also distinguished themselves in other series events, with Mac Elliott taking first place the Base Running Competition, Cash Krumrie receiving second place in the Base Running Competition and Jeff Mucha qualifying as one of five finalists in the Home Run Derby.
The 12-year-old All Stars' next competition is the Barnaby's Tournament in South Bend, Ind. starting on Monday.
In July the team won the Bridgman, Berrien Springs and Eaton Park Tourrnament championships and received second place in the Tri-State Showdown in Galesburg, competing against teams from Michigan, Indiana and Ohio
Members of the team, in addition to Elliott, Krumrie and Mucha, include Lyman Thomas, Justin Henderson, Dalton Shearer, Dilan Shearer, Cole Castle, Dallis Reynolds, Alex Kuhn, Aaron Pastryk and Brent Brown. The team is managed by Orville Thomas. Mike Payne, Mike Baker, Scott Pastryk and Moses (Mo) Kyles are the coaches.
