Charles 'Chuck' Lazzlo Vas, 79, of Valparaiso, Ind., died peacefully on Saturday, July 28, 2007, at home after a courageous battle with prostrate cancer.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 1, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Dykes Funeral Home, 2305 N. Campbell St., Valparaiso, Ind., followed by an 11 a.m. Mass at Saint Pul Catholic Church of Valparaiso with Monsignor F. J. Melevage Melvich officiating.
Burial will be at Saint Paul Cemetery, Valparaiso.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 31 at the funeral home.
Donations may be made to the Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) Hospice of Porter County or a charity of choice.
